Hello Everyone,
I have been very busy helping a friend with her election campaign
and didn't have time to write on a special topic. So I decided to
share this great little exercise with you. I was at a WOW meeting
about a year ago and one of the women suggested we do this exercise.
It was an eye opener for all of us and was really simple. I did mine
in poetry form, others did stories and still others did song.
Just start with the words: "I Am From"------see where it leads you.
My poem is below.
I Am From
I am from the white and green grasses upon which I ride
my imaginary white horse
I am from the shed with spider webs and the dew
that sparkles like little rainbows on the web
I am from the Gothic churches of Luxembourg,
to the catholic churches of KC
I am from the German patriarch and
from the royalty of England
I am from the morning dove and the bob whites
and the trees that house their songs
I am from the milking cows
and the fields that grow to feed them
I am from Delia and Ike
and Herman and Eleanora
and Bob and Mary
and the legacy of fear
I am from the Spirit of joy
and great beauty
And
I am from All that Is
